Sesame Drumsticks

March 2nd, 2010 by petes

After a long day at school I wanted to make something quick for dinner that would not take very long so here we go:

1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

1/2 cup honey

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup soy sauce

A pinch of dried rosemary

5 garlic cloves, smashed and cut in half

6 drumsticks

1 tablespoon of sesame seeds

In a large bowl whisk together the balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, rosemary, and garlic cloves. Whisk until the brown sugar and the honey have dissolved.

Once dissolved place the drumsticks in the bowl.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate for an hour (or more if you have more time). Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil.

Place the drumsticks on the baking sheet.

Cook for 30 to 35 minutes. When the internal tempature of the chicken reaches between 160-165 degrees F or the skin starts to show black spots your chicken is done.

With a pastry brush, brush the drumsticks with the drippings on the pan. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Serve. (I served it over white rice with broccoli on the side)
